Seed Feeder Rechargeable Battery Information
The FeatherSnap Seed Feeder comes with a rechargeable lithium-ion battery and solar panel roof. Getting going and maintaining continued operations is simple.
Once you have unboxed your FeatherSnap, locate the battery and cable. Charge the battery fully before inserting it into the camera back.
To check the battery level, press the button on the cartridge:
- 1 LED = Low battery
- 2 LED = Half charge
- 3 LED = Full charge
Once fully charged, install the battery into the camera. Ensure that the battery compartment is fully closed and the latch is clicked into place.
The feeder’s roof doubles as a solar panel. To activate and ensure adequate charging, make sure the camera is fully seated into the feeder. To maintain a full charge, the feeder’s roof needs at least a few hours of direct sunlight a day. Without adequate sunlight, you may need to periodically charge the battery.
